Welcome to MacKillop Senior College

MacKillop Senior College was opened in 1988. Seventy students commenced Year 11 at St Joseph’s Regional while the first stage was built. This initial group were joined by another seventy students in 1989. A total of sixty-four students completed the College’s first NSW Higher School Certificate in 1989.

The College has been expanded with three building stages. The last stage included the hall, the senior study, visual arts and new classrooms. The original Multi-Purpose Room was converted into the Performing Arts Theatre.

Due to the relocation and expansion of St Joseph's Regional College in the past twelve months, lower student numbers at MacKillop Senior College have allowed for smaller class sizes.

MacKillop Senior College continues to provide top class education to HSC students. In 2011 62% of all HSC results were a Band 5 or Band 6 - which represents marks greater than 80%.

Four HSC students made the "All-Rounder Achievers" list - with marks over 90 in at least 10 HSC units of study and 128 results were recorded in the Distinguished Achievers list - which recognises marks over 90% in a HSC course.

Outstanding practical results were recorded in the 2011 HSC, with nominations for ArtExpress (Visual Arts), OnStage (Drama), Encore (Music) and Design TECH (Design & Technology).

MacKillop students were award 3rd in the State in 1 Unit Studies of Religion and 19th in the State in Standard English. MacKillop HSC results placed them in 83rd place in the top 100 schools in NSW, with only two schools outside the metropolitan area within this rank.

In 2012 our students were again nominated for ArtExpress, OnStage, DesignTech, InTech and Encore and we received a 5th placing in the State in Modern History, a 6th in Biology, an 8th in Design & Technology and an 18th in the State in Standard English. We also had four State All Rounders, achieving 90% and Band 6 in ten or more units.<!--[if gte mso 9]> Normal 0 false false false EN-AU X-NONE X-NONE <![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]> <![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 10]> <![endif]-->
